L3 Educational Technology in the Asia Pacific Region

The progressive countries in the Asia Pacific region have formulated state policies and strategies to infuse technology in schools in order to provide confidence to educators, that they are taking the right steps in adopting technology in education.
Since policies continue to change, examining the Information and Communication Technology policies and strategies in New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong is necessary. Each state has its own goal, strategy and focus area to follow dependent on its governments plan concerning education and technology aspect.
For example, in Information and Communication Technology in New Zealand the government were focus on the school infrastructure and professional development while in Australia there were more in confidence of the students being creative and productive users. On the other hand, Malaysia technology plays more in facilitating teaching learning activities to assist school management; Singapore, made a key dimensions base on curriculum and assessment, learning resources, teacher development and physical and technological infrastructure and; Hong Kong the government aims to raise the quality school education by promoting the use of IT in teaching and learning.
In our country, I believe that we are starting to adopt this new educational technology. The school administrators were working hand in hand to introduce and implement quality education with the aid of technology use in classroom instruction.
