L5 State-of-the-Art ET Application Practices

Our educators today have become more aware and active in adopting a state-of-the-art educational technology practices they can possibly adopt as they look through the policies that support a new pedagogy. Personally, I truly appreciate the effort of the educators who advocate this kind of strategy even if it is difficult to implement it. With continuous implementation, this comes to reality. In addition, this is what I experience in my educational technology class. At first, it was not that easy to do this but with patience and hard work I am getting use to it, it is very exciting especially when I discover something.
Today one can see a greater need for teachers to acquire not only computer literacy, but competence as well. Due to the speedy turnover of technology advancement, it is wise therefore for school administrator to decide on technology upgrading and together with this; the educator will utilize this technology. Aside from that administrator should not invest in technology hardware system that may become a white elephant in a few years time.

More Recent ET in Education
Recently, changes in pedagogical theory and practice arise. The contribution of the computer to pedagogy makes up for the "good instruction". Owing to the development, teacher must therefore acquire or improve on their computer skills, as well as their "computers-in-the-classroom" skills. Trends that should also be recognize by educators are
1.School or training centre computer courses, to become a computer literate.
2.Following the call for developing critical thinking among students
3.Shifting focus from lower-level traditional learning’s outcomes, student   assessment/examinations.
4.Recent teaching -learning models (such as contructvism and social contructivsm)

Obstacles IT Pedagogical Practice
Objection are likely to be heard for educators living in developing economies, such as that the use of the computer is time-consuming and expensive besides there is also a danger of a technology-centered classroom along the fear and computer may soon replace teachers
Therefore, it is truly a need for teachers to balance their time for the preparation and application of instructional tools. They should be patient and wise to accept technical advice. In addition, teacher should acquire computer skills for so that they can serves as models in integrating educational technology in teaching learning process.
All this suggestions show that teachers and schools can no longer avoid the integration of educational technology in instruction. Moreover, with continuing changes educators should be open for changes that are more educational in the years ahead. Especially nowadays, portable and mobile computing will make computing activities easier to perform; the approaches to classroom pedagogy must change.
